Most pet humor shops give you one blank and call it premium. We give you three because the conversation about t-shirt fabric has gotten more nuanced over the last decade, and 'premium' doesn't mean the same thing to everyone.
Bella+Canvas 3001 is the premium ringspun staple. Gildan 64000 is the lightweight softstyle that fits like an old favorite. Comfort Colors 1717 is the heavyweight garment-dyed heritage tee that thrift-store kids and Anthropologie buyers both swear by. They're not three versions of the same shirt — they're three different shirts that happen to share a print.
Bella+Canvas 3001 — the premium ringspun
Fabric: 100% airlume combed and ringspun cotton, 4.2 oz. Heather variants are 52/48 cotton/poly. The combing process removes short fibers, which is why it feels smoother than a department-store tee.
Fit: unisex slim. Set-in 1×1 baby rib collar that retains shape. Side-seamed for a structured drape. Tear-away label.
Best for: the wearer who notices the tee. People who care about how the neck holds up after the 50th wash. Designs with fine detail — Bella+Canvas takes DTG print exceptionally well.

Gildan 64000 — the lightweight softstyle
Fabric: 100% ringspun cotton, 4.5 oz. Softer than the classic Gildan heavyweight (5000) because of the ringspun process, but still lighter than Bella+Canvas. Heather Navy and Dark Heather variants are 65/35 polyester/cotton.
Fit: classic unisex. Slightly more relaxed than Bella+Canvas. Set-in collar, double-needle hems, tear-away label.
Best for: the wearer who wants a tee that gets out of the way. Someone who's going to wear it for yard work and the company picnic. Also the cost-conscious gift-buyer.

Designs that pop on Gildan: the scribble portrait series — soft fabric for a soft pen line. The light weight is forgiving of high-detail line art.
Comfort Colors 1717 — the heavyweight heritage
Fabric: 100% ringspun cotton, 6.1 oz. Garment-dyed, which means the color is dyed into the finished tee rather than the raw fabric — this gives it that thrifted, slightly faded look from day one.
Fit: relaxed boxy. Pre-shrunk but still has some natural breakdown. Heavy enough to hold its shape on a hanger.
Best for: the wearer who wants weight. Someone who likes a tee that feels like it has history before they've worn it. Pairs with high-waisted jeans, vintage denim, anything you found at a flea market.
